皆さん当校のサイトをご覧いただいて、ありがとうございます。当校のスクールディレクターのカネダアキラです。

このハリウッドに来て１０数年たちましたが、何もわからない、本当にゼロからの出発でした。英語学校、カレッジ、ダンス学校あるいは、仕事を通じて、段階を踏んで、いろいろエンターテイメントの事を勉強してきました。みなさんもこれからプロのパフォーマーとして、あるいは別の仕事を持ちながら、趣味として、エンターテイメントをやっていきたいと、いろんな目的をもって、当校にこられると思います。自分自身もアメリカに来る前に、３年間週に２回の英語学校に日本で通い、ロスでも１年間語学学校に通いそして、舞台演劇を学ぶ為にカレッジに入学しました。これだけ英語をやったにもかかわらず、いざ一般のアメリカ人生徒と一緒に勉強するための英語力という点で、僕の背負ったハンディは相当な物でした。やはり自分はこの国では外国人である。ましてこの国のエンターテイメント界で生きていこうとしている、その為には言葉のハンディをカバーできるだけの様々な技術を身につけなければいけない。という気持ちで、演技、歌、ダンス、空手、日本舞踊等、本当に様々な物を学んでまいりました。そのかいあってなんとかこの世界でやっていけるようにはなりました。

これからこのアメリカでエンターテイメントを学びたいが、どうしていいかわからない。あるいはまだまだ英語力が心配だ。と言った様ないろんな不安がみなさんあると思います。そういうあらゆるエンターテイメントを学びたいすべての人達の、入り口に当校がなれたらと思っております。もちろん経験者のみなさんにも、当校が新しい刺激になる事と思います。

芸は身を助けると申しますが、私の経験として一つの事だけではなく、いろいろなエンターテイメントを学んでおいたほうが、皆さんの未来もひらけると思います。芸能界ではなく普通の仕事につきたいといういう方でも、自分に自信がもてるようになると思います。当校で学べることはすべてつながっていて、皆さんの役に立つものであるということを、私は確信しております。そして少しでも皆さんが分かりやすく、少しでも多くのことを当校で学んでいただけるよう、私はじめ、インストラクター全員努力していきたいと思っております。皆さんと一緒に過ごせるのは少しの期間かもしれませんが、楽しく、そして熱く、一つでも多くのことを学んで帰ってください。ではみなさんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしております。

Thanks for visiting our website. I am Akira Kaneda, the director of Hollywood Entertainment Academy.

Almost twenty years have passed ever since I have come to fulfill my dreams here in Hollywood. I didn't know anything when I first got here but I just kept working my way up. Through language school, college, dance schools, and work, I learned many aspects of the entertainment business. From aspiring performers to just studying entertainment as a hobby, I am hoping all levels of entertainers will come to this school.

While I was in Japan, I studied English for three years, came to Los Angeles and studied for another year so I could set myself up for acting in college. Even after all these years of studying English, I had difficulties trying to speak English with the students in America. I knew I was the foreigner in this country. To become a successful entertainer, you have to learn how to overcome these language barriers. I studied acting, singing, dancing, karate, and Japanese classical dance to prove myself and everyone around me that I can succeed, and it all paid off. I am sure everyone has a feeling of uncertainty to be in the entertainment business. Many questions may arise. What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to take my career to the next level? What about my English skills? I am hoping the Hollywood Entertainment Academy can be a place for everyone to solve these problems.

In my experience, I think it is very important to not just have one, but have many talents to open doors for possibilities in your future. Not just for entertainers, but these talents will provide confidence in those who work in other fields as well. I am confident what you can learn at the Hollywood Entertainment Academy will be a rewarding experience. All instructors are working hard to make this school an easy place to learn. It may be a short period of time, but we would all like to make this place a fun learning experience for you.
